ABOUT US

About us…

The Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan (DSGSEMI) is a 501C-3 non-profit organization established in 1999 with an exciting history of responding to the changing needs of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

The DSGSEMI serves southeast Michigan, including Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Livingston, Lapeer, Monroe, Washtenaw and Genesee counties. Our constituency is composed of over 250 individuals with Down syndrome of all ages, 900 family members and over 200 local professionals.

The DSGSEMI is an affiliate of the National Down Syndrome Society and the National Down Syndrome Congress, however, there is no financial or governing relationship with either group. Within the southeast Michigan area, the DSGSEMI maintains close working collaborations with many organizations who work with individuals with disabilities.
