The Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan (DSG) is a non-profit parent led, community based support network designed to strengthen, empower and inform families and communities about people with Down syndrome.

We welcome new or expectant parents to our organization and hope you will contact us to offer you support. DSG invites you to learn more about Down syndrome, our programs and services and to get involved. DSG is an organization that supports self-advocates, families, educators and healthcare professionals.

DSG has proudly served the Oakland County and the Southeast Michigan area since 1989. If there is anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact us. Please check our calendar for the latest listing of meetings, playgroups, events, and more.

PEAC 2008 Summer Cycling Program

For Wayne and Washtenaw Counties

Q: What are the dates for summer program?

A: Summer Program begins June 25th and ends August 7th. The sites are as follows:

  • Ann Arbor, Mondays and Wednesdays, begins on Wednesday June 25th and ends Wednesday, August 6.
  • Ann Arbor, Tuesdays and Thursdays, begins on Thursday June 26 and ends Thursday, August 7.
  • Plymouth, Wednesdays, begins June 25 and ends August 6.
  • Detroit, Thursdays, begins June 26 and ends August 7.
  • Saline, Mondays, begins June 30 and ends August 4.
  • Taylor, Tuesdays, begins July 1 and ends August 5.

Bike Training Camps

The Center for Motor Behavior and Pediatric Disabilities (CMBPD) at the University of Michigan is pleased to announce that it will be holding bicycle training camps for children with Down syndrome (DS) during June of 2008 and 2009. These camps are free of charge!
