Donate
The Down Syndrome Guild is totally dependent on donations and fundraising to provide programs and services and meet operational costs. It is only through the generosity of many individuals, corporations and grants that the DSG is able to provide quality programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We need your help!
We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation to the DSG. All donations will receive a tax-deductible receipt.
Please make checks payable to and remit to:
Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan
29688 Telegraph Road, Suite 200
Southfield, Michigan 48034

Additional Ways to Give
The following are additional ways to donate to the DSG: Annual Fund, Honor/Memorial, Matching Gifts, United Way, Planned Giving and Gift-in-Kind. For information on ways to support the DSG, please contact Kim Reynolds, DSG Treasurer at treasurer@dsgsemi.org

Annual Fund
The Annual Giving Fund is established to help the DSG meet the increasing and changing needs of the extraordinary individuals with Down syndrome. The Annual Giving Fund donations are used toward a variety of important programs such as: New Parent Packets, the Baby Buddies Program, The Buddy Club, Yearly Scholarships, the Down Syndrome Specialist Training, Family and Community Outreach and our Public Awareness Program.

Honor/Memorial
A memorial bequest or honorarium on behalf of a loved one can be a wonderful way to help support the vital programs and services provided by the Down Syndrome Guild. These gifts can be used to recognize a birthday, graduation, anniversary, special teacher or other person in your life, or the death of a loved one. These gifts are recognized in the Little Something Extra newsletter.
Please mail any donations to our mailing address with information on the individual you are donating on behalf of. All bequests will receive a letter with tax receipt.

Matching Gifts
A great way to increase your donation to the DSG is through your employer. Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees, directors, employees' spouses or retirees as an added benefit. With these programs, a company will match an employee's gift to charitable and educational organizations.
If you work for a company that matches gifts, you can take that extra step to support the DSG:
- Contact your Human Resources Office for eligibility requirements and to obtain a Matching Gift form. (Many companies match the gifts of retirees, spouses, surviving spouses and outside directors.)
- Fill out the employee portion of the matching gift form completely.
- Mail the form to: Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan, Attn: DSG Treasurer, 29688 Telegraph Road, Southfield, MI 48034
Thanks for making the match!

United Way
If you decide to pledge to the United Way this year, you can designate your contribution to go directly to DSGSEMI. We encourage you to direct your pledge to DSGSEMI by writing this name and number on your pledge card: Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan or DSGSEMI and the number 121194.

To those friends who wish to help assure the continuation and growth of the DSG by mentioning the DSG in your will, the following general form is suggested: "I give, devise, and bequeath unto the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan, a Michigan nonprofit organization, located at 29688 Telegraph Road, Southfield, MI 48034, the sum of $________ ." or "______ percent of my net estate." or "the following stocks or bonds ______________ to be used for the DSG mission."

Gift in Kind
If you have a product, service, or other item that you would like to donate to the DSG, you may donate it as a Gift-in-Kind. Non-cash gift examples are design services, printing services, advertising space, food, beverages, books, etc.
A gift-in-kind to the DSG is tax deductible under state and federal laws. We will send you a gift receipt acknowledging your contribution of goods or services. You will determine the value of your gift-in-kind donation.
